<P class=MsoBodyTextIndent>Subject: ENDING DATE of SPRING LOAD RESTRICTIONS for the SOUTH, SOUTHEAST, AND METRO FROST ZONES<BR><BR></P><U>POSTING UPDATE</U> 
<P class=MsoNormal>The ENDING DATE of Spring Load Restrictions for the SOUTH and SOUTHEAST and METRO FROST ZONES, will be on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 12:01 am. </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>Spring Load Restrictions will remain in place for the CENTRAL, NORTH-CENTRAL, and NORTH FROST ZONES.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal>Spring Load Restrictions dates and the six frost zones in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Minnesota</st1:State></st1:place> are listed on the Mn/DOT Office of Materials’ web site at <A href="http://www.mrr.dot.state.mn.us/">www.mrr.dot.state.mn.us</A>. Click on “Seasonal Load Limits,” then click on “Spring Load Restrictions (SLR).” This website will contain the most up-to-date information on Spring Load Restrictions.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal>MIDDLE-RANGE and FULL-SUMMER OVERWEIGHT PERMITS</P>
<P class=MsoNormal>No overweight permits are issued during the Spring Load Restriction period. Middle-range overweight permits are available within each frost zone starting when Spring Load Restrictions are lifted. Full-summer overweight permits are available within each frost zone starting two to three weeks after Spring Load Restrictions are lifted. The use of middle-range and full-summer overweight permits end when the Winter Load Increases are removed the following year.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal>The ending dates for Spring Load Restrictions are based on how weather is affecting roadway strength. These dates are established by monitoring roadway strength as weather conditions change. Therefore, the ending dates for Spring Load Restrictions are variable. </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>All changes are made with a minimum three-day notice.</P>
