Children's Department
The Collection
The children’s books are classified in four sections:
  • Junior
  • Picture Books
  • Readers
  • Young Adult 

Audiobooks, DVDs and videocassettes, magazines, and CDs are also available.

Computers & Games
Puzzles, puppets, and a puppet theater are available for kids to play with while at the library. The library also provides access to computers with educational and fun games for kids to play and create on while building their analytical and problem-solving skills and gaining valuable computer experience.

Loan Periods
Library materials should be returned on or before the due date. Patrons may check out books, magazines, audiobooks, CDs, and educational movies for three weeks. Entertainment cassettes and DVDs as well as audio-visual equipment may be checked out for seven days. E-media may be checked out for two weeks. Art prints may be checked out for six weeks.

The overdue charge for entertainment cassettes and DVDs is $1.50 per day per item for five days. All other overdue materials have a $.50 charge. A $1 handling fee will be added to each item after one month. When library materials become overdue, an overdue notice is sent out to the patron.

The library charges replacement costs on all lost or damaged items.
