Services, Summer Reading, & Story Time
The library promotes early childhood literacy, information literacy, and lifelong learning through our story times, summer reading program, and reference services. In addition we also serve daycare facilities, providing in-home story times as well as providing story time kits for people who serve children.

Summer Reading Program
The Watonwan County Library hosts the Summer Reading Program every summer. Kids receive prizes for participating and are invited to special events, such as puppet shows and animal programs.

Story Times & Events
Our story time presenters build the foundations of reading, educate in the subjects such as history and science, and develop kids’ creative and social skills through children’s literature. The story times are geared for preschool through second grade, but all ages are welcome. Additional events occur throughout the year.

Patrons may access the library’s catalog online. At this website, patrons may order books from other libraries, place holds on materials, check what materials they currently have checked out, renew materials, and browse databases of newspaper and magazine articles.
